Life Captured Ltd ("we", "us") is a film and video production company based in Wānaka, New Zealand. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and share personal information through lifecaptured.co.nz, in line with the Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect

When you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address and message. When you book a consultation, we collect your contact details and anything you tell us about your project. We also collect basic website usage data, such as pages visited, approximate location, and browser and device type, through cookies and Squarespace analytics.

How we use it

We use your information to reply to your enquiry, schedule and run consultations, deliver and invoice work you engage us for, and understand how people use our website so we can improve it. We won't add you to a mailing list or send you marketing without your permission.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with services that help us run the business, such as Squarespace (website and bookings), Google Workspace (email) and Xero (accounting), or where the law requires it. Some of these providers store data outside New Zealand.

Storage and security

We take reasonable steps to keep your information secure, and we keep it only for as long as we need it or as the law requires (for example, tax records).

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing sean@lifecaptured.co.nz. If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
